2024 Fall Softball

Welcome to GAA Girls Fall Softball

Green Tree Athletic Association (GTAA) is committed to teach the game in a fun, competitive and instructional atmosphere. We are focused on improving the ability of every player while enhancing the experience for every family. Our efforts create a passion for the game that we hope last a lifetime.

Players ages 5-18 have the opportunity to participate in baseball and softball in a variety of levels. 

Softball programs we offer are:

Coach PITCH
*6U Instructional- 5-6 year olds - Most likely in-house for the fall season.
* 8U Instructional -  6-8 year old coach pitch program.

FAST PITCH
* 10U - 9-10 year old Fast Pitch program.
* 12U - 11-12 year old Fast Pitch program. 
* 15U - 13-15 year old Fast Pitch program.

2024 Fall In-House Soccer (Tiny Kickers -U10)

The in-house soccer program at Green Tree is a recreational league for both boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 10.

Tiny Kickers
  • For our youngest players(2-3), we offer the Tiny Kickers division. Tiny Kickers is an introductory level division that will introduce the the players to the soccer ball, the field, and the most basic skills used in the game. It also aims at getting the kids comfortable in a team sport setting by getting them moving and having lots of fun.
  • Tiny kickers meets for an hour, 1 time a week on Saturday mornings throughout the season. The Fall season typically runs September through October 31st.

U6 / U8 / U10
  • At the U6 / U8 / U10 levels players participate in an in-house coed league. The in-house soccer program offered by Greentree Athletic Association is a recreational coed league for boys and girls between the ages of 4-10.
  • The Season runs mid September through the end of October with games usually starting the weekend after Labor day. It is typically an 8 game season and games are played on Saturdays each week. In addition, teams will hold 1 sometimes 2 practices in the evening during the week.
  • Games are scheduled in-house amongst our GT teams as well as a few games against KO United teams representing Dormont and Castle Shannon and at some age groups we schedule games against Carlynton.

Our home fields are Wilson Field (above the swimming pool), Hale Park, and Aiken Field.

Away games are played at Beggs Snyder(Dormont), Reihl Park (Castle Shannon), and Carnegie Park(Carlynton).

Division Breakdown
All divisions are determined by the players birth year. In accordance with US Youth Soccer, a player's birth year is used to determine the player's soccer age (U6,U8, U10, etc). A birth year is January 1 to December 31 of the year in which they were born.

In addition, a calendar year in soccer is considered fall/spring, with eligible players moving up divisions in the fall. All players end up having 2 years (4 seasons fall/spring/fall/spring) in each division. This may cause some confusion due to a players actual age at the start fo the season, but rest assured your player will be properly placed according to these guidelines.
